Practicing Work Realism

If you are unhappy in your work, slowly, over the next few weeks, do everything you can to calm down and step back from any desperation. Perhaps you may seek the counsel of someone who has both a wisdom about working and a kindness toward you.

Look closely at your work and your heart as you go about your work. Just be curious about  whether it fits you, and whether you fit to it. Take a deep breath, notice the activities that motivate you. I promise that you can either (a) change, (b) accept, or (c) move on.

At the same time, please remember that many millions have trudged behind mules, toiled obscurely in thankless tasks, and yet smiled and somehow known some measure of contentment.
